Did anyone else wake up early this week and feel the amazing breeze?!   The slight breeze has me so excited for fall.  It is my favorite season for so many reasons (mainly because the clothes are the cutest).   I am sharing this super cute outfit, plus some tips and tricks for transitioning into a fall wardrobe!

TIP 1: PAIR IT WITH BOOTIES

The easiest way to transition into fall is by substituting your sandals for a pair of booties!  I bought this pair last season (they are currently on sale!!) and love the way they look with this romper.  They make my legs look extra long!  Booties are not too heavy to wear while it is still a warm outside, but they do add a fall-esque vibe to your look.

TIP 2: WARM COLOR CLOTHING

With fall on the rise, it is so easy to find warm colored pieces to add in your wardrobe. I love this olive green romper from BCBGeneration because it has a fall vibe, but I can wear it now and not feel like my outfit is too heavy. This romper is also great for layering when it gets cold!  I plan to pair it with a cream turtleneck and over the knee boots as soon as the temp drops.

TIP 3: LAYER, LAYER, LAYER

Nothing says fall like a couple of layers!  While it is still too warm to pair a cardigan, scarf, etc. with your outfit, it is totally weather appropriate to add a fun bandana and light denim jacket! Both pieces add a warmer touch to my romper, but do not weigh it down.  (It also adds a cool girl effect that we are all trying to achieve, am I right?)

I cannot wait for bonfires, scarves, and over the knee boots, but until then I plan on using these tips and tricks to transition my outfits into the cooler weather!  What transition tricks do you have for your fall wardrobe? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Layers on layers! I am really trying to have more basic, staple pieces in my wardrobe (because maybe less is more? Still not sure on that, haha). This is a great post.
