I spent the past weekend in the cutest little Texas town I have ever seen! Although it was new to me, apparently it is a very well known place in Wine Country. Fredericksburg, Texas is the go to destination for a girl’s trip, getaway with your love, or for anyone that just really loves a good glass (or two or three) of wine. I am covering everything on the trip from the outfits to the vineyards and everything in between!
We went to five different vineyards over the weekend, but there are over 70 to visit in Fredericksburg!
Signor Vineyards: This vineyard was GORGEOUS! I was in total awe the entire time. It has only been opened since last March, and it was originally a home built in the 90s. There was a gorgeous farm house on the land, a tasting room, an outdoor patio, and the cutest little wine barn! If you are looking for a gorgeous vineyard to spend the day, I HIGHLY recommend this one. We spent almost four hours there, and I never wanted to leave.
4.0 Cellars: In my opinion, this vineyard had the best wine! It was such a nice vineyard and had the best service. I prefer sweet wines, so that is what I sampled, but my friends tried the reds and whites and raved over them both. The vineyard also had the cutest little food truck with great food! The chicken avocado egg rolls were my favorite!
Barons Creek Vineyards: This vineyard is also a must! It was so beautiful on the grounds and also had great wine. Barons Creek was our first stop on the wine tour, so we got a lot of pictures shot here. It was one of the most insta worthy vineyards of the weekend.
Messina Hof Hill Country: Of all of the vineyards we went to, this one was my least favorite. It may have been because it was the last stop of the day on our wine tour, but I enjoyed the other vineyards much more than this one. I do think it would be a great spot for larger parties though because of the spacious tasting area.
Das Peach Haus: This was the last vineyard we checked out and one of my favorites. I got lots of Louisiana vibes from this one, so honestly it just felt a little bit like home. Not only was there wine, but they also had lots of yummy jams, sauce, and seasonings to try and purchase. It looks like a cute little country store, and it had a gorgeous dock and pond in the back. The service was also amazing! The nicest little couple walks us through the tasting and told us their love story. Fun fact: They met in Arkansas aka my neck of the woods! They were SO sweet and made us feel so welcome!
On Saturday, we took a wine tour through Fredericksburg and visited three of the wineries listed above. I think this is such a great idea if you have a large group, and it’s a safe way to enjoy the day! Our tour guide, Kim, from Texas Grapes Wine Tours was SO nice and took care of booking all of the vineyards for us. She picked us up from our airbnb in a limo and made the whole day really enjoyable and convenient.
WHERE TO STAY
There are lots of bed and breakfasts to stay at in Fredericksburg! We stayed in the coziest little airbnb, called the Asil House, that had lots of room and charm. There were five of us on the trip, and we all slept comfortably in our own bed. We also had lots of space (and mirrors!!) to get ready, which is so important for a house full of girls. It would be the perfect place to stay for a bachelorette trip!
Some of the vineyards had places on the property to stay as well. One of the cutest places that comes to mind was at Barons Creek. There were little villas in the back of the winery, and they looked so nice!
WHERE TO EAT
Fredericksburg had the most charming little downtown area with lots of cute restaurants! We asked all of the locals where to eat and they all recommended Crossroads Saloon and Steakhouse. The food was so good! I ate shrimp and grits, but the other girls all got steak. All of it was great! Afterwards, we walked into the saloon and listened to live music. The band was SO much fun that we came back for round two the next night. I love listening to live music, and Crossroads did not disappoint!
On Sunday, we ate brunch at the CUTEST little spot, Emma + Ollie. It was located in a cozy little house and had a bakery in the front with lots of yummy pastries. We all order blood orange mimosas (so good) and I had lobster eggs Benedict to eat. I definitely recommend!
WHAT I WORE
I wanted to be cute, but comfy on this trip and honestly, I was not sure what the weather would be like. I brought a variety of outfits, but ended up wearing dresses and otk boots to all of the vineyards. You can shop all of my outfits below by clicking on the links.
SHOP THE LOOK
My peacock print tunic is from Red Dress and was a hit at all of the vineyards. I received so many compliments on it! It would also be so cute worn with jeans and booties. I sized up to a medium for length. The OTK boots are currently 40% off with code: READY40! I have worn them non stop since I bought them and love how flattering they are!
SHOP THE LOOK
For dinner on Saturday night, I wore this gorgeous black top. I think a cold shoulder is so flattering, and love the high neck on this top as well. I paired it with my favorite pair of distressed denim and threw on a gorgeous green blazer to add a little color! I purchased this blazer on a whim last week, but I am so obsessed with it. I think the color is great for transitioning into spring, and I am all set for a St. Patty’s day ootd!
SHOP THE LOOK
I wore this leopard dress on day two. I love the fit of this dress and how it can be dressed up or down. I threw on a denim jacket for a more casual look, but it would also look great with a pair of black heels for a night out.
I LOVE a good girls’ trip and definitely recommend Fredericksburg if you are looking for a fun and unique place to go that has lots of wine! We had the best time sipping and exploring.
