What a weekend it has been! I just got back from the best trip to Fredericksburg, Texas also known as Texas Wine Country. I visited Fredericksburg back in January and had an absolute blast. The town is full of so much charm, unique restaurants, and beautiful wineries that I knew I wanted to revisit in the summer time. Fredericksburg is about 5 hours from Dallas and an hour and a half away from Austin. It makes the perfect place for a weekend getaway or a quick day trip if you in the Austin area! My best blogger friends and I packed up and traveled to Fredericksburg for a little summer getaway and had the absolute best time! I am sharing all the details including where to stay, our wine tour, where to eat, and what I wore!
WHERE TO STAY
On this trip, we stayed at a gorgeous Absolute Charm vacation rental home. Absolute Charm has over 200 beautiful properties to choose from in Fredericksburg. The homes range in size to fit each party comfortably and they are FULL of well…charm! Our home is called Bella Manor. Everything in the home was beautiful and cozy!
Bella Manor also had two carriage houses that were attached to the side and a loft upstairs. We had more than enough room to accommodate our party of 10. There was a big kitchen and dining room table that were perfect for our group. We stayed up all night laughing, drinking wine, and eating lots of cheese! Not only does Absolute Charm have rental homes, they also have a wine tour! Our tour guide, Barry, picked us up from Bella Manor and took us to three different wineries. On our tour, we visited Hilmy Cellars, Signor Vineyards, and Lost Draw Cellars. All of them were amazing! I had visited Signor on my last trip, so I was really excited to go back. It was even more beautiful in the summer.
If you are planning a trip to Fredericksburg, I definitely recommend the Absolute Charm Wine Tour. Not only is it the safer way to explore the vineyards and sample lots of amazing wine, it is also so much fun! Our tour guide Barry was the sweetest and made our tour so easy.
Fun fact: Our tour guide, Barry, also plays piano in a band at the coolest bar in Fredericksburg called 78624 the bar. Definitely recommend checking it out if you want a cool place to grab drinks after dinner.
WHERE TO EAT
One of my favorite restaurants I visited on my last trip to Fredericksburg was Emma + Ollie. We went again on this trip and it was just as good as the first time! I got the avocado toast with bacon and fruit. Also, you. must get the beignets! They are HUGE and so yummy!
We also brunched at Sunset Grill. It was the cutest little diner with lots of yummy cocktails and eggs Benedict options. You must try “The Maui.” It was made up of guava, champagne and mango juice. It was delicious!
On our first night in town, we ordered pizza and salads from West End Pizza Company. It was delicious and a super easy meal if you are looking for a low key dinner option on your first night in town.
We ate at Mamacita’s on Saturday night and it was such a fun spot! It is great if you are looking for a casual Mexican restaurant.
